People and dogs are not alone when it comes to anxiety. Almost 1/3 of cats appear to have some form of anxiety, from mild to severe. Cat anxiety is one of the primary deterents from cat owners taking their cats to the vet!
The standard prescribed drugs for cat anxiety are not preferred by most cat owners, as the drugs are not effective enough and/or have too many negative side effects.
